Maintenance Manager

JOB SPECIFICATION

Designation: Manager Maintenance ( Cable Industry mandatory )

Department: Maintenance

Experience: 8 to 15 Years

Qualification: B.E (Mechanical/ Electrical)

Reporting to Sr. Manager/ HOD

Note: Experience must be from the cable industry core experience Breakdown, Utility Maintenance, Machine Maintenance, Plant Maintenance.

JOB ROLE

• Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules in coordination with Production/PPC.
• Monitor and report utility consumption (Power, Water & Air).
• Maintain machine check sheets and ensure timely calibration of equipment.
• Provide technical support to suppliers and the purchase team, manage AMC, critical spares, and spare inventory.
• Inspect equipment and conduct routine preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Handle maintenance of R.B.D. Machines, Stranding Machines, Extruders, Drum Twisters, Armouring Machines, Bunching Machines, Rewinding Machines, C.C.V. Line, Lead Press Machines, Corrugation Machines, V.C.V. Line, and Sioplas Line.
• Possess working knowledge of Gearboxes, Bearings, Pneumatic Systems, Lathe, Drill, and Shaper Machine operations.
• Basic understanding of cable manufacturing processes and raw materials.
• Manage manpower, shift allocation, and maintenance priorities.
• Handle machine breakdown reports and coordinate corrective actions.
• Arrange materials and spare parts required for maintenance activities.
• Monitor utility equipment including Boilers, Pump House, and Compressors.
• Diagnose faults, repair or replace defective equipment, and install new machinery.
• Maintain shift logbooks with spare parts and maintenance records.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices during all maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and provide technical support and training on new equipment.
• Respond to maintenance call-outs and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Proven work experience as a maintenance engineer.
• Knowledge of EPA and OSHA guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
• Ability to read system schematics.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.
• Good communication and training skills.
• Ability to work with heavy equipment.
