Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Shift In-charge role based in Chennai. The Maintenance Shift In-charge is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations for assigned facilities, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil systems function safely and efficiently. Daily tasks include planning and allocating work to technicians, monitoring preventive and corrective maintenance activities, responding to breakdowns, and coordinating with vendors and service providers. The role involves maintaining maintenance logs, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, inspecting equipment and common areas, and escalating critical issues to senior management when required. The Maintenance Shift In-charge will also support energy-saving initiatives, assist in budget planning for maintenance needs, and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of building services, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and basic civil maintenance.
- Experience in supervising maintenance staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and managing shift operations.
- Ability to plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, maintain records, and track equipment performance.
- Familiarity with safety standards, emergency procedures, and compliance related to building and facility operations.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with internal teams, vendors, and external service providers.
- Proficiency in using maintenance logs, basic computer applications, and, ideally, maintenance management or ticketing systems.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering field, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Prior experience in facility management, real estate, malls, hotels, or large residential/commercial complexes is preferred.
