About the Role

The Manager/Sr. Manager - Portfolio/Project Management will play a crucial role in identifying and assessing products for emerging markets, focusing on both generic opportunities and differentiated products.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and incorporate products into the pipeline for emerging markets, with a focus on generic opportunities and differentiated products, including both simple and complex generics.
• Evaluate key parameters such as overall development cost, cost of goods (COGS), API availability, RLD availability, manufacturing capacity planning, and capacity specifications (batch sizes and trade presentation) for identified opportunities.
• Prepare supporting documentation, including business cases, NPV analysis, and filing timelines to enable early generic market entry.
• Perform competitive landscape analysis, portfolio gap assessment, and market evaluation to identify potential opportunities in emerging markets, supported by product rationale and sales forecasts.
• Support the identification and onboarding of contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) for selected opportunities when in-house manufacturing capabilities are unavailable.
• Analyze the pharmaceutical market to identify gaps and potential opportunities for both in-house development and in-licensing.
• Assess new product opportunities and recommend suitable additions to the company portfolio.
• Conduct risk assessments of the existing portfolio and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Prepare business cases for product or portfolio acquisitions in collaboration with Business Development and Product Development teams.
• Develop a five-year Product Grid/portfolio roadmap, considering cross-functional inputs from R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Clinical, and Intellectual Property teams.
• Periodically review and critically evaluate the Product Grid every month to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Monitor emerging therapies and global product development trends, and recommend potential new product ideas for global development initiatives.

Qualifications

• B. Pharma/M. Pharma/M.B.A in the pharmaceutical domain with 5-10 years in Portfolio/Project Management
