Job Summary
The Communications and Marketing Director for India is responsible for leading the employer brand and communications strategy for RSM US in India. This role translates global brand strategy into locally relevant positioning that strengthens talent attraction, engagement and retention in the India market.
As a strategic advisor to India leadership, this role designs and delivers integrated communications and recruitment marketing programs that align to firm priorities and drive measurable impact across the talent lifecycle. The Director oversees internal communications, employer brand strategy and recruitment marketing, ensuring a consistent, compelling and data-driven approach to storytelling and audience engagement.

The Director oversees internal communications, employer brand strategy and recruitment marketing, ensuring a consistent, compelling and data-driven approach to storytelling and audience engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Employer Brand Strategy & Market Positioning (25%)
- Define and evolve RSM’s employer brand strategy in India, aligned to global brand strategy and tailored to the local market
- Develop clear positioning, messaging frameworks and narrative pillars that differentiate RSM in the India talent market
- Lead development of integrated content and storytelling strategies that bring the RSM brand, culture and talent experience to life
- Ensure consistent brand execution across owned, earned and paid channels
- Recruitment Marketing Strategy & Execution (20%)
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment marketing strategy in India, aligned to hiring priorities and workforce plans
- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to:
- Align campaigns to priority roles and talent segments
- Optimize the candidate journey and experience
- Guide execution across:
- Digital channels (LinkedIn, job boards, search, social media)
- Paid media strategy and campaign mix
- Employer review platforms and external channels
- Ensure integration of employer brand across all marketing efforts and campaigns
- Internal Communications & Talent Experience (20%)
- Lead the design and execution of a structured internal communications program for India
- Develop communications strategies that:
- Inform, engage and align employees to firm strategy and priorities
- Strengthen culture, connection and employee experience
- Oversee leadership communications, including:
- Messaging for India leadership
- Change communications
- Organizational updates and key initiatives
- Ensure clarity, consistency and alignment with firm messaging, tone and governance standards
- Strategic Advisory to India Leadership (15%)
- Serve as a trusted advisor to India leadership on communications, employer brand and marketing strategies
- Translate business priorities into clear, compelling narratives and communications plans
- Provide guidance on:
- Talent positioning and messaging
- Culture and engagement strategies
- Change and transformation communications
- Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen RSM’s position as an employer of choice in India
- Integrated Campaigns, Content & Channel Strategy (10%)
- Oversee the development and delivery of integrated campaigns and content across internal and external audiences
- Ensure the right message reaches the right audience through the right channels at the right time
- Drive alignment across:
- Communications
- Recruitment marketing
- Brand and content teams
- Leverage storytelling, digital channels and emerging tools to enhance reach, engagement and effectiveness
- Measurement, Analytics & Continuous Improvement (10%)
- Define and track KPIs for:
- Employer brand awareness
- Candidate engagement and conversion
- Internal communications effectiveness
- Establish reporting frameworks and dashboards to measure performance and inform decisions
- Use insights and data to:
- Optimize campaigns and messaging
- Improve processes and delivery
- Demonstrate impact to stakeholders
- Lead and develop a high-performing team across recruitment marketing and internal communications
- Establish clear priorities, operating rhythms and ways of working (intake, planning, execution)
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
- Partner with global communications and marketing teams and external agencies to scale delivery and capabilities
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field
- 16+ years of experience in communications, marketing, employer brand or related field, ideally within a professional services or complex, matrixed organization
- Proven experience developing and executing integrated communications and/or marketing strategies
- Strong experience with digital marketing, content strategy and multi-channel campaigns
- Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior leadership stakeholders
- Experience leading employer brand and recruitment marketing strategies
- Experience working across global teams and adapting strategy to local markets
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with experience measuring campaign effectiveness
- Focus on measurement, impact and continuous improvement
- Ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable programs that drive outcomes
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence without authority
- Balance of strategic thinking and operational execution
- Deep understanding of audience segmentation, messaging and channel strategy
