POSITION ; ASSISTANT MANAGER – MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
Location: Madurai, Tamil Nadu
(Company Headquartered in Raichur, Karnataka)
Reports to: General Manager – Marketing & Sales based in Chennai
Work Profile
- To plan , drive, orchestrate and manage all communication related activities of the Company.
- To interface between various third-party agencies like Digital marketing, Research, Activations, Influencers, PR,CRM etc and the Company.
- To strategise and execute all communication activities of the Company.
- To enhance the value of the Company brands in the marketplace incl with Trade and Customers.
- This role requires a hands-on professional with strong mass communication skills, proven experience in the FMCG industry, and the ability to work on-ground while proposing innovative marketing approaches. The ideal candidate will blend strategic thinking with practical execution to achieve marketing objectives and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Ideate, develop and recommend a wide range of marketing and communication strategies, encompassing digital, traditional, and experiential campaigns .
- Plan and develop all the communication collaterals including website and social media pages.
- Plan and manage on-ground marketing activities such as product launches, promotions, trade shows, and consumer engagement events to build brand awareness and loyalty.
- Conceptualise and manage mass communication efforts, including PR, media relations, advertising, and content creation across various channels (TV, radio, print, social media, digital media ,OOH etc.).
- Analyze and track market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product development, and external agencies) to ensure alignment and successful campaign execution.
- Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics, ROI, and campaign effectiveness, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Oversee budget allocation for marketing initiatives and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Stay updated on emerging marketing tools, technologies, and best practices in the FMCG industry.
- Willing to travel extensively across Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of marketing or communication with a track record of planning and executing successful marketing campaigns for FMCG products.
- Strong mass communication skills, including expertise in creative development, media planning, content creation, and public relations.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and software (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems, social media platforms, SEO,SEM etc).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to stakeholders.
- Creative mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with regulatory aspects of FMCG marketing (e.g., Trademarks, advertising standards, labelling).
- Knowledge of Tamil is a must.
