Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an MD/DNB Medicine doctor based in Tirunelveli. The doctor will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with a wide range of medical conditions. Responsibilities include conducting daily ward rounds, reviewing investigations, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals with specialty departments as needed. The role involves maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and participating in case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings. The doctor will also offer patient and family counseling, support preventive health measures, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the facility.
Qualifications

• MD or DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution, with valid medical registration
• Strong clinical examination, diagnostic reasoning, and evidence-based treatment skills
• Ability to manage acute medical emergencies and chronic disease conditions safely and efficiently
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Commitment to ethical medical practice, patient safety, and adherence to clinical guidelines
• Capability to maintain clear, accurate medical documentation and use hospital information systems
• Willingness to work in rotational duties, including weekends or on-call, as required by the facility
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting; familiarity with internal medicine subspecialties is an advantage
