Network Engineer

Job Title: Network LAN/WLAN L1 & L2 SME

Experience: 3–8 Years

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days

Job Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for Enterprise LAN and WLAN environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN/WLAN incidents within SLA.
• Configure and support Cisco/Aruba switches, Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), and Access Points.
• Troubleshoot switching, routing, VLAN, STP, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and wireless connectivity issues.
• Handle incident, change, and problem management using ITSM tools (ServiceNow/Remedy).
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend preventive actions.
• Work as the technology SME for assigned LAN/WLAN environments and provide technical guidance to L1 engineers.
• Support implementation, migration, and maintenance activities during planned changes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco/Aruba LAN & WLAN technologies.
• Good knowledge of VLANs, STP, RSTP, EtherChannel, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, QoS, ACLs, and TCP/IP.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Cisco WLC, Aruba Switches, Aruba Controllers, and Access Points.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and ITSM platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• CCNA/CCNP or Aruba certification is preferred.
