About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled VoIP Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This full-time, remote position involves working closely with international clients engaged in developing modern, scalable communication platforms and digital applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming expertise in Node.js and/or Python, coupled with practical experience in VoIP technologies such as SIP, RTP, and platforms like Asterisk, Kamailio, or FreeSWITCH. The role requires a developer mindset focused on backend service development, platform integration, and delivering reliable communication solutions on a global scale.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of total professional experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to backend development. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Node.js or Python, with hands-on experience in frameworks such as Express.js, FastAPI, or Django. Strong knowledge of SIP, RTP, and VoIP infrastructure is essential, along with experience working in Linux-based environments. Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL and version control systems such as Git is required. Additional preferred skills include experience with WebRTC, cloud platforms like AWS, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ or SQS, and monitoring tools like Grafana or Zabbix.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and/or Python frameworks.
• Create and manage RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between systems.
• Work with VoIP platforms such as Asterisk, Kamailio, or FreeSWITCH to develop and optimize telecommunication infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot SIP, RTP, and WebRTC issues to ensure high-quality voice and video communication.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance platform capabilities.
• Operate within Linux-based environments, ensuring system stability and security.
• Optimize system performance and scalability to handle increasing user demands.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Git workflows for version control and code management.
• Participate in debugging, testing, and providing production support to maintain system reliability.
