LearnApp is India's leading financial media company. We help people achieve financial freedom with videos, live classes and courses.. 4 years in, 70+ people strong. We are a startup, we move quickly, we care deeply, and we expect our people to grow alongside the company. 


The kind of person we are looking for:

  • You are the first person a team member talks to when something is off whether its interpersonal ot professional.
  • Your goal is to solve 90% of problems before they ever reach the founders
  • You know everyone's name, their backstory, what they're working towards, and what's keeping them up at night
  • You are warm, approachable, and genuinely interested.


People processes:

  • Own the full lifecycle of every person from first interview to onboarding week, 30/60/90 day check-ins, quarterly and annual reviews
  • Identify skill gaps and design upskilling interventions before they become performance problems
  • Help team members make better career decisions. Like changing roles or departments.
  • Track professional and personal growth.
  • When things go wrong, your first instinct is to upskill, not to escalate.


Organisation culture:

  • Most of our team is under 30 so sometimes they need direction and structure. Make sure you have made a strong template with the team leads to give the new joinees a clear path of work and growth.
  • You can have direct, respectful conversations about behaviour and performance without making it personal.
  • You enforce policies fairly and consistently. No favouritism, no grey zones
  • You are pleasant by default, firm when needed, and never passive-aggressive.
  • You set the tone for what professional behaviour looks like at LearnApp. That means your attendance and discipline should be impeccable.


Solving business problems:

  • The founders will come to you when a team or project is underperforming. Your job is to diagnose the human side of the problem
  • Design and run team interventions, training sessions, and culture events that directly move business metrics
  • Be the bridge between what leadership wants to build and what the team needs to get there.


HR Processes

  • Set objectives for the HR team and track progress
  • Monitor internal HR systems and databases
  • Review and approve or modify budgets
  • Design and implement company policies
  • Monitor key HR metrics
  • Act as a consultant to managers and staff regarding policies and procedures
  • Create detailed reports on HR costs
  • Recommend new software to address personnel needs, like performance review tools
  • Address employees queries (e.g. on compensation and labor regulations)



Requirements

  • 3+ years in an HR or people manager role, ideally in a startup or high-growth company
  • Proven ability to build real relationships with a young, energetic team
  • Comfortable having difficult conversations and good at them
  • Strong knowledge of labour law and HR compliance in India
  • Experience with HRMS tools and HR data analysis
  • Ability to connect HR strategy to real business outcomes.
  • Positive energy. We want someone who is genuinely warm
  • Degree in HR, Psychology, or a related field is a plus
