Role Overview

They are hiring a hands-on automation engineer/programmer who can:

• Develop and test PLC software
• Work with industrial automation systems
• Support global engineering teams

Work Experience

Programming Skills

You should know at least one of these PLC programming languages:

• Ladder Logic (LL) – most common in PLCs
• Structured Text (ST) – similar to high-level programming like C
• CodeBlocks / similar environments
  
  

PLC Hardware & Platforms

Experience With Major Industrial Automation Vendors

• Siemens
• Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley)
• Schneider Electric
• or similar systems
  
  

Industrial Communication Protocols

You Must Understand How Machines Communicate

• Profinet
• Profibus
• Modbus
• EtherNet/IP
  
  

Testing & Validation

• SIL (Software-in-the-loop) – testing code without hardware
• HIL (Hardware-in-the-loop) – testing with real hardware setups
  
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Set up HIL testing environments
• Support teams across different countries (remote/global support)
• Work on commissioning (deploying automation systems on-site)
• Use Git or version control tools for code management
