Job Description
We are seeking experienced POS Application Engineers to support the deployment and post-development lifecycle of Point of Sale (POS) and Billing applications. The selected candidates will work closely with the Head Office Development Team to ensure successful implementation, testing, rollout, user adoption, and ongoing application support across client locations.This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in POS or billing applications who possess strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing of POS/Billing applications before deployment.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with business users and documenting observations.
- Deploy and implement POS applications across client locations.
- Execute application roll-outs while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Provide post-implementation support to end users and client stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot application-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Analyse reported defects, identify causes, and coordinate with the Head Office Development Team for bug fixes and enhancements.
- Validate fixes received from the development team before production deployment.
- Assist users with application configuration, navigation, and functional queries.
- Prepare and maintain implementation documents, user guides, release notes, and support documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support application upgrades, patches, and version releases.
- Ensure adherence to defined SLAs and project timelines.
- Provide periodic status updates and maintain incident and change records.
- Experience supporting POS or Billing Applications (any POS platform).
- Strong understanding of application deployment and implementation processes.
- Hands-on experience in Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Experience in application rollout and post-go-live support.
- Knowledge of software troubleshooting and incident management.
- Basic understanding of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, TCP/IP, VPN).
- Experience using ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Fresh service, or similar is preferred.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in POS or Billing Application Support, Implementation, or Deployment.
- Experience in Retail, Hospitality, QSR, or Enterprise POS environments will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with any commercial POS platform.
- Exposure to software implementation projects.
- Experience coordinating with development teams for issue resolution and enhancements.
- Knowledge of software release and deployment processes.
