Note: Candidates with only investment banking or transaction advisory experience will not be considered.This is a buy-side investor role, not a transaction support or fundraising job.

Induckt Ventures is the Investment Manager of Induckt Vision Fund-I, a SEBI-registered Category I Venture Capital Fund with a target corpus of ₹400 Crore, focused on investing in India's next generation of DeepTech and innovation-led companies.

Our investment themes include Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Defence, Space Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Semiconductor, ClimateTech, Clean Energy, Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Enterprise Technology, Drones, Quantum Computing and other breakthrough technologies.

We are building a high-performance investment team driven by conviction, ownership and long-term value creation.

We are hiring a Principal – Investments to lead investment execution and portfolio development across Induckt Vision Fund-I.

Reporting directly to the Founder & Managing General Partner, you will be responsible for full-cycle venture investing—from sourcing proprietary opportunities and investment evaluation to transaction execution and portfolio value creation.You will also mentor junior investment professionals and play an active role in shaping the investment strategy of the Fund.

This is a leadership role with a clear path towards greater investment responsibility within the Fund.

• Build proprietary deal flow across India's startup ecosystem.
• Source and evaluate investment opportunities in DeepTech and emerging technologies.
• Lead founder meetings and investment discussions.
• Drive commercial, financial and business diligence.
• Build financial models and valuation analyses.
• Prepare Investment Committee papers and investment memorandums.
• Lead term sheet negotiations and coordinate transaction execution until closing.

• Partner with founders on strategy, fundraising, hiring and scaling.
• Monitor portfolio performance and key business metrics.
• Identify portfolio risks and support corrective actions.
• Assist portfolio companies with follow-on fundraising and strategic partnerships.

• Mentor Associates, Analysts and Interns.
• Maintain high standards of investment research and execution.
• Conduct internal investment reviews before Investment Committee meetings.
• Build a culture of ownership, speed and analytical excellence.

• Contribute to sector research and investment theses.
• Support portfolio construction and capital allocation decisions.
• Assist in LP reporting and quarterly fund updates.
• Represent Induckt Ventures at startup events, investor forums and industry conferences.

We are looking for professionals who possess:

• 7–10 years of experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity or institutional Fund Investing.
• A strong investment track record, having independently led or co-led at least three investments from sourcing through execution.
• Demonstrated experience across deal sourcing, founder interactions, commercial diligence, financial analysis, valuation and Investment Committee presentations.
• Strong commercial judgment with the ability to develop and defend an investment thesis using data and conviction.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with founders, investors and ecosystem stakeholders.

• Strong network within the Indian startup ecosystem
• Engineering, Technology or Science background.
• MBA from a premier institution.
• Experience investing in DeepTech, Enterprise Software, AI or Industrial Technologies.

Candidates with only Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Transaction Advisory or Fundraising experience will not be considered.

This is a buy-side investing role, not a transaction support, advisory or capital-raising position.

Total Annual Package: ₹45,00,000

• ₹36,00,000 Fixed Annual Salary
• ₹4,00,000 Annual Retention Bonus (payable after successful completion of 12 months)
• ₹500,000 Annual Performance Bonus linked to portfolio performance, investment execution and individual KPIs
• Carry Participation in Induckt Vision Fund-I (details will be shared during the final selection process)

• Fixed compensation is non-negotiable.
• Long-term wealth creation is earned through investment performance and execution—not salary negotiation.
• Carry participation is awarded based on sustained contribution to the Fund.

As part of the selection process, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete investment-related screening and reflection questions.

• Invest from a ₹400 Crore SEBI-registered Venture Capital Fund focused on DeepTech.
