About TANUH


TANUH, the AI Center of Excellence in Healthcare, is established at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru and supported by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The AI-CoE is dedicated to developing scalable artificial intelligence solutions for the effective management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) at the point of care. TANUH serves as a multidisciplinary hub that brings together clinical experts, data scientists, and AI technologists to design and implement AI-driven tools for early diagnosis, risk prediction, monitoring, and personalized interventions for major NCDs such as oral cancer, breast cancer, diabetes and mental health.

Role Overview


This role will oversee end-to-end procurement operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The role requires strong vendor management experience, knowledge of procurement norms, and the ability to support cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for goods and services.
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including RFPs/RFQs, tenders, bid evaluations, contracting, and vendor management.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to ensure value for money.
  • Prepare and manage procurement analysis, purchase orders, and related documentation as per policy.
  • Ensure all procurement processes adhere to organizational policies, General Financial Rules (GFR), 2017, Government of India procurement guidelines, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain and periodically update the vendor database to ensure quality and performance.
  • Coordinate with internal units to understand requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Support the Finance team with audit documentation and manage vendor-related contracts.
  • Monitor market trends to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, IT asset management, and coordination with IT vendors to support procurement and operational requirements.



Requirements

  • Any graduate degree from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in procurement and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Mandatory proficiency in General Financial Rules (GFR), 2017, Government of India procurement procedures, tendering processes, and public procurement compliance.
  • Proficiency in English, Hindi and Kannada.
