Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive the growth and development of our poultry nutrition and health portfolio. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial understanding, and market insight to develop product strategies, identify growth opportunities, and support successful execution across the business.

The position can be based in either our Chennai or Faridabad office and will involve regular travel across India.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management

• Develop and execute product strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and emerging industry trends.
• Manage the lifecycle of existing products and support new product introductions.
• Build and maintain product roadmaps and portfolio expansion plans.

Market Intelligence & Customer Engagement

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
• Engage with poultry integrators, feed manufacturers, distributors, veterinarians, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
• Gather customer insights and translate them into product opportunities and business growth initiatives.

New Product Development & Launches

• Work closely with technical, regulatory, and commercial teams to evaluate and launch new products.
• Support field trials, product validation, and performance assessments.
• Develop product positioning and differentiation strategies.

Commercial & Technical Support

• Create product value propositions and sales support materials.
• Conduct product training sessions for internal teams and channel partners.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, and industry events.

Business Performance Management

• Monitor sales performance, profitability, and market share of assigned product categories.
• Track key performance indicators and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Support forecasting, business planning, and portfolio growth initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with sales, marketing, supply chain, procurement, regulatory, and technical teams to ensure effective execution.
• Work with external partners, suppliers, and industry experts where required.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Nutrition, Animal Husbandry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.

Experience

• 4–8 years of relevant experience in Product Management, Technical Marketing, Category Management, or Business Development.
• Experience in Veterinary Pharmaceuticals, Animal Health, Poultry Nutrition, Feed Additives, Feed Supplements, or related sectors is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience working with poultry-focused products and markets will be strongly preferred.

Travel Requirements

Regular travel across India to customer locations, distributors, poultry farms, feed mills, and industry events.
