About the Role

We are seeking a Product Photo Editor (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on product image editing, commercial photography, image enhancement, computer vision datasets, and AI-generated image evaluation.

In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated product images, commercial photo edits, and visual enhancement outputs. Your expertise will help improve AI systems designed for automated product image editing, image quality enhancement, and computer vision applications.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in product photo editing, commercial photography, e-commerce imaging, digital retouching, graphic design, or post-production.

Responsibilities

• Create deliverables addressing real-world product photography and image editing scenarios.
• Annotate and evaluate AI-generated product images, retouched photographs, and commercial visual assets.
• Assess AI outputs for image quality, realism, color consistency, editing precision, and commercial usability.
• Edit and enhance product shots for e-commerce, advertising, catalogs, and marketing materials while maintaining high visual quality and consistency.
• Create and refine shadows and reflections by applying natural drop shadows, reflection effects, contact shadows, and realistic lighting enhancements that improve product presentation.
• Ensure color accuracy through white balance correction, color matching, exposure adjustment, tonal correction, and calibration to accurately represent products across different devices and platforms.
• Perform precise image masking to isolate products, refine edges, remove backgrounds, handle transparent objects, and prepare production-ready assets.
• Review AI-generated image edits for realistic shadows, reflection quality, masking precision, accurate colors, clean edges, and adherence to commercial image standards.
• Identify editing artifacts, masking errors, lighting inconsistencies, color deviations, and visual quality issues in AI-generated outputs.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in automated product image editing and commercial photography workflows.
• Review peer-developed deliverables to maintain quality and consistency standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Multimedia, Visual Arts, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in product photo editing, commercial photography, image retouching, post-production, or e-commerce image editing.
• Editing professional product shots for retail, e-commerce, advertising, and catalog production.
• Creating realistic shadow and reflection effects that enhance product presentation without compromising authenticity.
• Maintaining color accuracy using professional color correction techniques, calibrated workflows, and image optimization.
• Performing advanced image masking, object isolation, edge refinement, transparent object masking, and background replacement.
• Reviewing AI-generated image edits for production quality, consistency, and commercial readiness.
• Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom, Capture One, Camera Raw, Adobe Illustrator, or similar image editing software is preferred.
• Strong visual judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written English communication skills.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated product images for editing quality, realism, and commercial usability.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience editing product images for fashion, beauty, jewelry, electronics, furniture, home décor, consumer goods, or luxury brands.
• Experience supporting large-scale commercial image production or e-commerce catalog workflows.
• Familiarity with AI-powered image editing tools, computer vision datasets, image annotation platforms, or generative AI workflows.
• Knowledge of color calibration, ICC profiles, RAW image processing, and digital asset management is an advantage.
• Portfolio demonstrating professional product photo editing work is highly desirable.
