Position: Production Supervisor

Experience: 3–5 years

Salary: Up to ₹35,000 per month

Shift: Rotational Shift (Including Night Shift)

Qualification: B.Pharm., M.Pharm., B.Tech/M.Tech in Food Technology, B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Science & Technology, or an equivalent Food Science/Pharmaceutical qualification.

Fermentis Lifesciences (FLS) is a leading contract manufacturing partner for the Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical, and health and wellness industries. We manufacture gummies, nutrition bars, powders, capsules, tablets, liquids, and softgels for private-label and custom-formulation needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day production activities to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Allocate manpower and monitor shift-wise production to achieve daily production targets.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, GHP, FSSAI, and company quality standards.
• Monitor machine performance, production output, and process efficiency.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Planning teams for uninterrupted production.
• Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), production logs, and shift reports accurately.
• Conduct line clearance before production and ensure adherence to quality requirements.
• Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in coordination with relevant departments.
• Maintain workplace safety, housekeeping, and hygiene standards on the production floor.
• Train and guide production operators on SOPs, GMP practices, and safe working procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce wastage, and improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of GMP, GHP, FSSAI, and manufacturing best practices.
• Hands-on experience in production planning, manpower management, and process monitoring.
• Good understanding of production documentation, BMR, SOPs, and quality compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet production deadlines.
• Must be willing to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, as per business requirements.
