Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Professor role in Computer Science Engineering, based in Thrissur. The Professor will deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in core computer science subjects, ensuring that classes are well-prepared, engaging, and aligned with academic standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and updating course syllabi, supervising laboratory and project work, mentoring students in academic and entrepreneurial pursuits, and evaluating student performance. The role involves contributing to curriculum development efforts, participating in academic committees, and engaging in departmental activities. The Professor is also expected to stay current with emerging technologies, collaborate on research or industry projects, and support initiatives that integrate innovation and entrepreneurship into the classroom.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in core Computer Science concepts and Computer Science Engineering education.
  • Ability to design and improve academic programs through effective Curriculum Development.
  • Applied knowledge in Data Science, including data analysis, machine learning, or related areas.
  • Expertise in Cybersecurity principles, practices, and emerging security trends.
  • Proficiency in Programming languages and software development methodologies.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or a closely related field (PhD preferred; master’s degree considered with strong experience).
  • Prior teaching or academic mentoring experience, with the ability to guide diverse learners.
  • Strong research orientation or industry experience, with a record of publications, projects, or innovation activities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment and encouraging entrepreneurial thinking among students.
