Job Description
Job Purpose:
Grow our Transaction Banking business in North India. You'll achieve excellent results in Cash Management, Supply Chain, and Trade Finance by acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing ones. This involves rigorous client planning, innovative business development, and effective sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Client Management: Manage client relationships to increase wallet share, ensure quick mandate implementation, and achieve faster revenue realization. You'll also ensure financial and non-financial risk mitigation.
- Solution Delivery: Collaborate with Product and Implementation teams to develop and present new solutions to clients through professional proposals and presentations, meeting customer deadlines.
- Strategy Support: Support Sales Team Leaders and functional leadership in implementing the Global Transaction Services (GTS) strategy. This includes focusing on target segments, analyzing requirements, positioning digital solutions (Digital Cash Management & Paperless Trade Finance), and commercializing initiatives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Business Relationship Managers (Local, Regional, Global), Operations, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Implementation teams. Your goal is to identify opportunities, expedite new client conversions, activate limits, and deepen client relationships.
Core Competencies:
- Sales Process: Strong understanding of complex sales processes, with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Technical Knowledge: Solid practical and technical knowledge of Cash Management, Supply Chain, and Trade Finance functions.
- Client Focus: Prioritize client needs and demonstrate strong customer and relationship management skills. You should be able to identify product gaps, extract revenue opportunities, and plan client account strategies.
- Compliance & Agility: Keep clients central to decision-making while ensuring processes and deliverables adhere to regulatory and bank frameworks. You should be adaptable to changing sales dynamics and able to conceptualize and implement new ideas effectively.
- Teamwork: High level of teamwork to collaborate effectively across functions.
- North India Market: Experience and connections with corporates in North India.
Education / Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent (management graduates preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Qualifications relevant to Corporate Treasury sales are an advantage.
- 15+ years of Transaction Banking sales experience, preferably with multinational and large local corporate clients.
- Comprehensive knowledge of traditional and new-age Cash Management, Supply Chain, and Trade Finance practices.
- Deep market knowledge and experience selling structured transaction banking solutions through CXO engagement.
