Registered Apprenticeship, Industrial Maintenance Technician - Power
Location: Miamisburg, Ohio

Accelevation is proud to offer Registered Apprenticeship opportunities in partnership with Sinclair Community College. As a Registered Apprentice, you will receive on-the-job learning combined with classroom education with Sinclair, all paid for in full by Accelevation. Apprentices will receive pay increases as skill milestones are achieved, payment for books and expenses, along with time to attend classes while “on-the-clock.” Accelevation's Registered Apprenticeship program is designed in coordination with and recognized by the State of Ohio.
Upon completion of this approximately 2-year program, you will receive:
Through on-the-job learning with Accelevation and Sinclair’s Industrial Maintenance curriculum, you’ll develop foundational skills in electrical systems, product maintenance and testing, and blueprint interpretation. As you build your technical expertise, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of our power products from assembly through testing and installation, helping ensure they are built, installed, and maintained to the highest quality standards. You'll get the opportunity to rotate through different departments and work with various leaders and experts.
Application Requirements
Employees must be able to talk, hear, and frequently sit, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is required. Vision requirements include close and color vision and focus adjustment. Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, and explosives. Noise levels can be very loud, requiring ear protection. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.

- An Industrial Maintenance Technician short-term certificate issued by Sinclair
- A journeyman card recognized by the State of Ohio
- Continued employment opportunities with Accelevation, including Test Technician, Maintenance Technician, Field Installation, and leadership

Application Requirements
- Must be currently employed by Accelevation
- Must have completed the introductory period (90-days)
- Must be in good standing and have fewer than 4 attendance points
- The employee is responsible for communication with their current supervisor about their career growth and application to this role
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required to enroll in Sinclair
- Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and a letter grade of C or above while enrolled in the program
- Must be able to pass the entrance exam to Sinclair, which includes math placement
- Must reside in Ohio
- Openness to travel to field sites and our other manufacturing sites
- Strong time management skills are required to balance classroom time, homework, and work
- Must demonstrate Accelevation's 6 core values
