Job purpose

• This is a middle level position based at Noida.
• The incumbent will be working as part of Regulatory Affairs team and handling regulatory affairs and policy advocacy for the company.
• The incumbent is expected to have good legal acumen, drafting skills and understanding about the important developments in Policy and Regulations at State & Central level in power sector, especially related to Power Exchange, Power Trading, Open Access and Renewable Energy domain.

Duties and responsibilities

• Tracking policy and regulatory developments and execute impact assessment of policy and regulations. 
• Identify interventions required in the Regulatory and policy domain.
• Drafting of comments, suggestions, Petitions, reply etc. for submission before the regulatory authorities, government authorities and courts.
• Attending hearings and appear before Regulatory Commissions.
• Engage and manage counsels for the drafting, appearance etc.
• Building strong relationship with Regulatory Commissions (CERC and SERCs).
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and align internal stakeholders around regulatory and policy initiatives that are critical for future success of the business.
• Assist in preparing research papers based on the primary or secondary research on the subjects assigned.  
• Handling litigation before APTEL, High Court, Supreme Court, briefings etc.
• Preparation of PPT, documents, notes as may be required.
• Any other regulatory and policy work as may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Education : MBA+BE (Any Branch)
• Specialized knowledge: Must have worked 6+ years in the Regulatory and Policy area.
• Skills: Drafting of Petition, Reply, comments etc.
• Abilities: To represent and effectively articulate arguments.
• Experience: Minimum 12-15 Years of Experience.
