Job Description – Revit & AutoCAD Modeler (Mechanical / Electrical / HVAC / Plumbing)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D MEP drawings using AutoCAD, including layouts, plans, sections, elevations, details, and schematics.
• Develop, update, and maintain 3D Mechanical/Electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Convert design concepts, consultant drawings, and mark-ups into coordinated AutoCAD drawings and Revit models.
• Produce shop drawings, fabrication drawings, coordination drawings, installation drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure all drawings and models comply with project BIM standards, company CAD/BIM standards, client requirements, and LOD specifications.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Civil, and other MEP disciplines to resolve design and coordination issues.
• Review consultant and contractor comments and incorporate approved revisions into AutoCAD drawings and Revit models.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, model parameters, title blocks, sheet layouts, and documentation in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure consistency in layer management, line weights, annotation styles, families, shared parameters, templates, and naming conventions.
• Assist in developing and maintaining company CAD standards, Revit templates, libraries, and BIM workflows.
• Perform quality checks on drawings and models before submission to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with project engineers and BIM Coordinators to meet project deliverables and deadlines.
• Support the preparation of quantity take-offs and basic model-based documentation when required.
• Ensure all deliverables are completed within project schedules while maintaining a high level of quality.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and Revit modeling for Mechanical or Electrical services.
• Proven experience working on Middle East construction, infrastructure, commercial, residential, or industrial projects.

Strong proficiency in:

• Autodesk AutoCAD
• Autodesk Revit MEP
• Good understanding of:
• MEP systems and construction methodologies
• Level of Development (LOD) standards
• CAD/BIM standards and naming conventions
• Revit families, shared parameters, and templates
• Sheet setup, annotation standards, and documentation workflows
• Ability to read and interpret MEP design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent drafting and modeling accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines under minimal supervision.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 is an added advantage.
