Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Delhi, India. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing sales of bulk APIs by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing customer relationships, and expanding the client base in domestic and international markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and presentations, negotiating pricing and contracts, and coordinating closely with supply chain, production, and quality teams to ensure timely order fulfillment. The role also involves monitoring market trends and competitor activities, preparing accurate sales forecasts and reports, and representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and client visits. The Sales Manager will collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company’s growth and revenue goals.
Qualifications
- Proven sales and business development skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals in the pharmaceutical or API industry.
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, handle negotiations, and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical APIs, supply chain processes, and quality and compliance requirements in regulated markets.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities, including experience with sales forecasting, market analysis, and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Experience in API trading or pharmaceutical B2B sales is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in standard office and CRM tools, with the ability to maintain accurate sales records and reports.
- High level of self-motivation, integrity, and accountability, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and site visits as required.
