Sohum Innovation Lab is a medical device company with a focus on technological innovation in the area of early detection of diseases with point-of-care medical devices. We have innovated products and technologies for newborn hearing screening and diagnostics. We develop market-driven solutions to improve the health and incomes of people living in resource-poor settings.
Affiliated to DBT, Government of India, Sohum’s indigenously developed AABR technology-based hearing screening device that has been recognised at various national and international forums. We received the Presidential National Award, the WHO top 50 Technologies for low-resource settings award, and several collaborations with organizations such as BIRAC, Stanford University, AIIMS New Delhi, IITD, and Grand Challenges Canada. Our hearing screening device is a globally recognized solution and successfully detects hearing loss in babies born in India and Africa.
We are looking for a passionate sales team manager to sell, distribute, and implement newborn hearing screening in India and other countries across the globe. The newborn hearing screening model creates high social and market impact, and we need someone passionate about implementing programs end-to-end. The audiologist will work closely with Doctors, Hospitals, NGOs, Policy makers, Parents, and Government bodies to develop unique customer insights & create scalable & sustainable implementation models. It is also required that the sales manager build new collaborations and partnerships to expand the market, and they will be rewarded for their efforts. The skill set may include business development, public health, sector development, general management & training.
Responsibilities
- Create a calendar/ planning for the quarter/ month/ week/ day to execute and provide a performance report
- Sending emails/ letters/ messages to segments of importance. Establish call centres for reaching out and query handling. Finding KOLs that need to be aligned in a city/ region and conducting activities with them. Regular followups
- Recruitment of new distributors all over India for marketing/ sales of Sohum products. Management of Distributors- creation of distribution agreements, follow-up with distributors
- Arranging demos with individual private hospitals/ corporate hospitals and establishing the purchase/ service model. Engagement with Doctors, Nurses, and hospital management
- Find out avenues where newborn care service models can be established- Private and public
- Find out government opportunities- NHMs for mass procurement. Prepare and present proposals to NHM officials. Look for tenders and prepare tender documents to participate.
- Engagement with NGOs region-wise and segment-wise
- Finding govt. district hospitals that can do direct buying and create a proposition to purchase
- Recruiting/ Managing teams, individuals in the field, training them, and tracking their performance
- Data management & account management, maintain records of leads generated and possibilities. Maintain customer feedback in particular formats
- Partnership with other diagnostics chains, companies in newborn care, corporate maternity chains, hearing aid-cochlear implant companies
- Excellent Communication skills
- Ability to build trust, value others, and demonstrate high integrity
- Following up on all payments and maintaining a record of tests, payments, sales, and recovery
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree, Experience in sales and marketing, preferred
