SDE - II (Fullstack)

At the core of its infrastructure lies a sophisticated integration of hardware and software capabilities aligned with the key principles of situational awareness: perception(data collection), comprehension (data processing), and prediction(analytics). This holistic approach empowers Digantara to monitor all Resident Space Objects(RSOs) in orbit, fostering comprehensive domain awareness.

The Software Development Engineer II – Full Stack will lead the design, development, and delivery of end-to-end software solutions across frontend, backend, and platform infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for mentoring engineers, driving engineering excellence, and delivering scalable, production-grade systems.

Ideal Candidate

• 4+ years of experience building production-grade full-stack applications using React, Python and/or Node.js.
• Proven ability to architect scalable systems, lead technical execution, and mentor engineering teams.
• Strong expertise across frontend development, backend services, databases, and deployment infrastructure.
  
  

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior frontend and backend engineers, fostering engineering excellence and enabling successful delivery.
• Architect, design, and develop end-to-end software solutions across frontend, backend, and platform infrastructure.
• Build, ship, and continuously enhance full-stack web application features.
• Develop and maintain HTTP services and REST APIs using Python or Node.js.
• Design, optimize, and scale PostgreSQL database schemas to support high-performance applications.
• Own operational excellence by improving deployments, monitoring, debugging workflows, and platform reliability.
• Develop and maintain Linux-based environments and improve developer productivity through automation.
• Build and maintain containerized development and deployment workflows using Docker.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and the continuous improvement of engineering standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• B.E., B.Tech., or M.Tech. in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or Node.js.
• Strong experience building frontend applications using React.
• Solid understanding of HTTP protocols and REST API design.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database architecture, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Docker, and CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualities

• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or NATS.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms including JWT, OAuth, and session-based authentication.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, observability, and production debugging.
• Exposure to distributed systems and cloud-native application architectures.
