Job Description

Responsibilities

Test Automation: Write and maintain automated tests for Abacus and Harmony across unit, integration, API, component, and E2E layers. Contribute to Golden Data Set validation, annotation spot-checks, and dataset integrity scripts. Write regression tests for customer-reported issues before fixes are closed. Investigate and reduce flaky tests; keep test suites healthy and trusted.
CI/CD and Quality Support: Support the Sta SDET in integrating and maintaining quality gates in CI/CD. Write or update GitHub Actions jobs for automated test execution and reporting. Track coverage trends, defect leakage, and test health metrics. Help evaluate AI-generated tests from the Testing Agent and provide structured feedback.
Domain and Collaboration: Ramp up on medical coding basics, Arintra workflows, and high-risk user journeys. Work closely with engineers to understand code paths and design useful tests rather than black-box checks. Participate in quality reviews, defect post-mortems, and Agent Demo Day.

Requirements

Hands-on automated testing experience in Java using RestAssured or similar Java automation frameworks.
Strong understanding of unit testing, mocking, test data management, reusable test design, and maintainable automation frameworks.
Understanding of the testing pyramid and ability to reason about unit vs integration vs E2E coverage.
Basic Git fluency: branches, PRs, dis, commits, and code review etiquette.
Experience with at least one CI/CD platform, preferably GitHub Actions.
Ability to read application code and identify what should be tested.
Strong attention to detail and root-cause mindset; does not simply re-run flaky failures. pass.
Clear written communication for bug reports, test notes, and defect post-mortems.

Nice To Have

Healthcare, medical billing, medical coding, fintech, or another high-accuracy domain.
Exposure to Playwright, Selenium, or other browser automation.
Exposure to contract testing such as Pact.
Basic SQL or data validation experience.
Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or test-generation agents in a professional workflow.
