Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant is an integral member of our accounting team and will play a key role in supporting the Company's continued growth.
This position is ideal for someone seeking long-term career advancement. You'll assist with month-end close, project accounting, financial reporting, and account analysis while working directly with the Chief Financial Officer on strategic initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Enter new vendors and maintain existing vendor records.
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and monthly reconciliations.
- Monitor and review Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging reports.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity.
- Support Accounts Receivable and Project Management with AIA billings, T&M billings, and customer invoicing.
- Maintain the general ledger and assist with month-end close, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare and maintain monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules using percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Perform monthly balance sheet and expense account reconciliations.
- Assist with annual audits, tax reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and documentation of accounting policies and internal controls.
- Mentor and support accounting team members.
- Partner directly with the CFO on strategic initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred.
- Five or more years of accounting experience preferred.
- Construction accounting and job costing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting and WIP reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Vista by Viewpoint preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
