Role Description The Senior Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing production equipment and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, and coordinating corrective actions to minimize downtime. The Senior Maintenance Technician will collaborate with production and engineering teams, document maintenance activities, and help implement improvements to equipment reliability and performance. The role may also involve mentoring junior technicians, adhering to safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing facilities.
Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance across manufacturing or automotive environments.
  • Proficiency in Troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems used in industrial equipment.
  • Experience with Preventive Maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution to reduce equipment failures.
  • Demonstrated capability in Maintenance & Repair of production machinery, tools, and facility infrastructure.
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience (typically 5+ years) in plant maintenance, preferably in EV, automotive, or heavy industrial settings.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and OEM documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
