Company Description: Ananya Child Development & Early Intervention Clinic supports children with diverse educational and developmental needs, including learning disabilities, ADHD, APD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The clinic focuses on early identification and intervention to help infants, toddlers, and children improve their development and lead fuller, more independent lives. Ananya works closely with parents, offering specialist therapies along with parent support and training to achieve measurable outcomes. A multidisciplinary team of full-time therapists and visiting expert consultants provide services in areas such as psychology, occupational therapy, speech therapy, sensory integration, movement, behaviour, and creative therapies. The clinic emphasises knowledge sharing, integrity, and collaboration and regularly conducts workshops for parents, staying updated with global trends and methodologies.
Role Description: The Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist will provide on-site, full-time or part-time clinical services at Ananya Child Development & Early Intervention Clinic in Hyderabad. Responsibilities include assessing infants, toddlers, and children with developmental delays and special needs, developing individualised intervention plans, and delivering evidence-based occupational therapy focused on sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, and activities of daily living. The role involves close collaboration with parents through education, coaching, and progress reviews, as well as working in a multidisciplinary team with psychologists, speech therapists, educators, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care. The therapist will maintain accurate clinical documentation, participate in case discussions, and contribute to internal training and workshops to support continuous improvement of services. Senior responsibilities may also include mentoring junior therapists, supporting program development, and contributing to best-practice protocols within the clinic.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and pediatric therapeutic techniques.
- Relevant knowledge in Pediatrics and child development, with experience working with children with developmental delays and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Understanding of Rehabilitation principles, functional independence, and long-term developmental outcomes in paediatric populations.
- Effective Communication skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including clear documentation and parent education.
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised institution; valid professional registration or licensure as required.
- 7 -10 years of paediatric occupational therapy experience, preferably in early intervention or developmental clinics, with exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder and related conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary settings and to mentor junior therapists or students.
