Position: Senior Shopify Developer

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (hybrid)

Job Summary:

The Senior Shopify Developer will lead the development and customization of Shopify stores This role involves designing and implementing new features optimizing performance and ensuring a seamless user experience The Senior Developer will also mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross functional teams

Objectives of the Role

• Lead the development and customization of Shopify stores to enhance user experience and functionality
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery
• Continuously learn and apply new skills to contribute to the teams success

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and customization of Shopify themes
• Design and implement new features and functionalities using HTML CSS JavaScript and Liquid
• Integrate third-party apps and services to extend store functionality
• Optimize Shopify stores for performance SEO and mobile responsiveness
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
• Stay updated with the latest Shopify trends and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in HTML CSS JavaScript and Liquid
• Strong understanding of Shopify's platform including themes apps and APIs
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Knowledge of SEO principles and responsive design
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with database management and data migration processes
• Familiarity with ecommerce best practices and consumer behavior
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time

Must Have Experience

• Proficiency in both backend and frontend Shopify development
• Extensive experience in theme customization and Shopify app development
• Ability to develop custom integrations and middleware solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills
