About the Role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer I (SDE-1) to join our engineering team and help build scalable, reliable, and high-quality software.

As an SDE-1, you will work closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers to develop new features, fix bugs, improve product performance, and contribute to building a world-class engineering organization. This role is ideal for engineers who have strong programming fundamentals, enjoy solving challenging problems, and are eager to learn modern software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services.
• Build new product features under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve code quality.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability.
• Learn and follow software architecture, coding standards, and development processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Continuously improve technical skills by learning new technologies, tools, and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of professional software development experience (including internships).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and modern programming concepts.
• Hands-on experience with the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development.
• Familiarity with building and consuming REST APIs.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures, and Algorithms.
• Basic understanding of database concepts and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for learning and building scalable software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or project experience building full-stack web applications.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Redis, messaging queues, or microservices is a plus.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
