Role Purpose

The Data Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines. This position involves close collaboration with data analysts, and other IT team members to ensure data is captured with the highest reliability and quality. You will be part of a global team of Data Engineers providing 24/7 development and support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage data feeds by sourcing data from multiple vendors and performing necessary transformations. Hands-on development will be a key aspect of this role.
• Implement and advocate for best development practices, innovative frameworks, and technology solutions to accelerate business processes.
• Develop, maintain, and support web applications and APIs, ensuring their smooth operation and providing technical assistance to users.
• Adhere to best practices in estimation, planning, reporting, and process improvement in daily tasks.
• Automate processes wherever applicable to enhance efficiency.
• Create and maintain internal documentation for collection processes and frameworks.
  
  

Educational Background

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience

• 2-5 years of proven work experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
• Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong proficiency in core Java, Spring.
• Experience working with Oracle databases and SQL.
• Ability to work with complex data models.
• Familiarity with automation and process improvement tools to increase efficiency and scalability in software development.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, particularly in deploying and managing data solutions.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with build and deploy pipelines like Jenkins.
