Solutions Architect

About the Role

As a Solutions Architect, you’ll work across both pre-sales and post-sales engagements, partnering with clients to design innovative ICT solutions that deliver real business outcomes.

Working closely with our sales team, you’ll develop tailored solution designs, provide technical leadership throughout the sales process, and guide implementation by mentoring engineers and ensuring successful project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse range of Government, Defence and Corporate clients while influencing technology decisions and building trusted client relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design tailored ICT solutions that meet clients' business and technical requirements.
• Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership during pre-sales engagements. Develop solution architectures, proposals and high-level design documentation.
• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver business outcomes.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical oversight throughout project delivery.
• Mentor and support engineers during solution implementation.
• Present technical solutions to clients with confidence and clarity.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, vendors and internal teams.
• Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete and aligned with Iocane standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and promoting best practice.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering or solution architecture.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise ICT solutions.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, virtualisation, storage and cloud technologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience developing technical proposals, solution designs and client-facing documentation.
• Vendor certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco,, Fortinet, Aruba, HPE, Dell or similar) are highly regarded.
• TOGAF, SABSA or other architecture certifications are desirable.
