Job Description

Function: Software Engineering → Backend Development

Java

We're looking for engineers who love building reliable backend systems that work at real financial scale people who care about correctness, latency, and clean API design as much as we do.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and own Java microservices from API design to production rollout.
Build RESTful APIs using Spring Boot with a focus on correctness, idempotency, and observability.
Design schemas and write performant queries across relational and NoSQL databases.
Deploy and operate services on AWS, comfortable with EC2 SQS, Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.
Collaborate with product and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Write robust unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards.

Requirements:

Experience with Kafka or other messaging/streaming systems.
Familiarity with Redis or other caching layers.
Docker / Kubernetes for containerised deployments.
Prior fintech, payments, or treasury domain exposure.
Understanding of distributed system patterns: idempotency, retries, circuit breakers.
Startup or fast-paced product company experience.
