Role Description

The Sr. CDP / Sous Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Palampur, responsible for leading day-to-day kitchen operations. This role involves planning and preparing menu items, ensuring consistent food quality and presentation, and supervising junior kitchen staff during service. The Sr. CDP / Sous Chef will manage mise en place, monitor food safety and hygiene standards, and coordinate with the Head Chef to execute specials and seasonal menus. Responsibilities include overseeing inventory and ordering of ingredients, maintaining kitchen equipment, and supporting training and development of culinary team members. The role also requires active participation in service, timely execution of orders, and effective communication with front-of-house staff to deliver an excellent guest experience.


Qualifications

  • Strong culinary skills in hot and cold kitchen, with experience in menu execution, plating, and flavor balancing.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Team leadership capabilities, including supervising junior chefs, delegating tasks, and training staff in kitchen best practices.
  • Experience with kitchen operations such as inventory control, portioning, waste reduction, and coordination during busy service periods.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, with attention to detail, time management, and consistency in output.
