BearHugs

Strategy & Growth Ops Manager

Actively Reviewing

BearHugs

New Delhi Full-Time 4–8 yrs exp Posted 1 day ago  · Apply by Sep 14, 2026
About the Role

BearHugs is scaling fast across multiple channels. We're hiring someone to be a part of our core team and own the operational and analytical backbone of growth turning scattered data into decisions, and decisions into execution, without needing hand-holding. This isn't a strategy-slide role. You'll build the trackers, chase the vendors, prep the numbers, and then also tell what they mean and execute the decisions.

What You'll Do
  • Own and maintain BearHugs' ops scorecard and competitor tracking systems - flag what's moving before it becomes a fire drill
  • Support pricing and terms negotiations with vendors and help in cost and sourcing optimisation
  • Build and maintain financial/operational models (LTV/CAC, vendor cost comparisons, capital advance deals) alongside the core team
  • Drive cross-functional coordination - supply chain, marketing agency, HR - so initiatives don't stall between teams
  • Take ambiguous, half-formed problems ("we need to figure out X") and turn them into a plan with owners and dates
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA / Master's in any quantitative, business, or economics-adjacent field (B.Com, BBA, Engineering, Economics, etc.) - pedigree of institute is not a filter; what matters is comfort with numbers and structured thinking, not the college name
  • 2–4 years in a lean/high-ambiguity operating environment (early-stage startup ops, growth, or strategy consulting). Should be able to describe a time when you built a process or tracker from scratch with no template to follow
  • Direct or adjacent experience in commercial/pricing negotiations - even if not the final decision-maker, has prepped for or sat in on vendor/platform negotiation conversations
  • Advanced spreadsheet fluency (pivot tables, cross-referencing multiple data sources, building models from raw exports) - bonus if comfortable with basic SQL or Sheets scripting, Python etc
  • High agency and low ego - comfortable doing both the "vendor follow-up call" and the "corporate deck" in the same week.
  • Strong written communication - sloppy writing is a disqualifier, not a nice-to-have
  • Comfortable being corrected quickly and often - fast iteration, not long feedback cycles
What This Role Is Not
  • Not a pure execution/admin role - you'll be expected to have a point of view
  • Not a purely strategic/advisory seat - you'll be in the data and the vendor calls, not just the deck
