Position Overview

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer – FEA with hands-on experience in ABAQUS to design, analyze, and optimize lightweight aerospace structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structural mechanics, finite element analysis, and engineering design principles, with the ability to deliver reliable and efficient structural solutions for UAV applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop structural components for UAV systems.
• Perform structural simulations using ABAQUS, including:
• Static analysis
• Linear & nonlinear analysis
• Buckling analysis
• Modal analysis
• Contact simulations
• Evaluate stress, deformation, and structural performance under various loading conditions.
• Optimize designs for strength, weight, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to validate structural performance.
• Support prototype development, testing, and design improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in structural design and finite element analysis.
• Strong understanding of mechanics of materials and structural engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with ABAQUS is mandatory.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or 3DS CATIA
• Knowledge of metallic and composite structures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in UAV, aerospace, automotive, or defense structural analysis.
• Exposure to composite material modeling.
• Familiarity with design validation and structural testing.
• Basic knowledge of Python for simulation automation is an added advantage.
