Team Lead - Product Testing

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Team Lead – Product Testing who can build and own the QA framework for end-end workflows. This role requires a hybrid mindset—thinking like a financial analyst while testing like an engineer, ensuring that tagged outputs accurately reflect source filings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a scalable QA framework from scratch
• Define clear acceptance criteria for end-end workflow testing and for specific product rollouts
• Build and maintain - Test Case Templates; Coverage Matrix; Severity Classification (P0/P1/P2); Scenario libraries for edge cases
• Lead root cause analysis for recurring issues and identify patterns
• Translate business requirements into structured test scenarios and proactively identify edge cases before defects occur
• Establish triage and escalation processes with Product & Engineering
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Ops, Product, and Engineering teams .
• Mentor junior QA resources and drive team capability building
• Ensure high data quality aligned with analyst use cases (reconciliation, auditability, time-series consistency).
• Ensure product releases meet defined quality thresholds and provide go/no-go recommendations based on testing outcomes
• Track and improve key quality metrics (desired accuracy/ speed performance, defect leakage, etc.)

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5–8+ years of experience in QA/testing, preferably in data platforms, financial systems, or analytics products
• Proven experience in building QA frameworks from scratch (not just executing test cases)
• Strong experience in - Test strategy, scenario building, and coverage planning; Defining acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks; Root cause analysis and defect pattern identification
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving mindset
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into testable scenarios
• Strong bug reporting skills (clear documentation with impact, severity, and evidence)
• Experience with SQL for data investigation
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams
• Experience in mentoring or leading junior testers
