Technical Delivery Manager

Location: Noida, India (Remote / hybrid)

Experience: 8-15 years, including 5+ years hands-on engineering

Working hours: Partial overlap with US time zones required

About Algoscale

Algoscale is a data and AI consulting firm, headquartered in Noida and serving US enterprise and mid-market clients. We have delivered 250+ projects across healthcare, insurance, retail, financial services, and manufacturing. We are a Microsoft Solutions Partner (Data & AI on Azure), an Anthropic Claude Partner Network member, and ISO 27001 certified.

Our work spans three technical areas: data engineering (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, dbt, medallion architectures), AI/ML (LLM and agentic solutions, predictive models, document intelligence), and application development.

The Role

You will own the end-to-end delivery of 3-5 concurrent client engagements. That means you are the person who decides how the work gets built, keeps the client unblocked, and keeps the team moving - without escalating every decision upward.

This is not a coordination role. You will be expected to make technical calls, disagree with an engineer's approach and say so, and defend an architecture decision to a client. If your instinct when a client goes quiet on a blocking decision is to wait, this is not the right role for you.

What You'll Own

Technical direction

-      Set and defend the technical approach for your engagements - architecture, tooling, sequencing, trade-offs

-      Review designs and key implementation decisions; push back when the approach is wrong

-      Make the call when a decision is blocking the team and the client is unavailable, then flag it clearly

-      Know when a client request is out of scope and raise it as a change request rather than absorbing it

Client communication

-      Be the primary technical point of contact for your accounts

-      Drive requirement clarity: chase the ambiguous answer before it becomes rework

-      Run status calls, demos, and design walkthroughs with client stakeholders

-      Escalate risks early and in writing, with a recommendation attached

Team leadership

-      Guide a delivery pod of 4-10 engineers across data, AI, and application work

-      Break scope into work items the team can actually execute against

-      Unblock people daily; identify who is stuck before they tell you

-      Give direct feedback on quality and pace

Planning and delivery hygiene

-      Own the work breakdown structure, sprint plan, estimates, and delivery timeline

-      Maintain the project in our PM tooling (Azure DevOps / Jira) so that status is legible without a meeting

-      Track scope, effort burn, and margin against the SOW

-      Produce the delivery documentation the client and the internal team both rely on

What We're Looking For

Required

-      8-15 years total, with 5+ years as a hands-on engineer before moving into delivery leadership. We will check this. Career project managers who acquired technical vocabulary later will not succeed here.

-      Deep, current expertise in at least one of: data engineering, AI/ML, or application development - with enough credibility in the other two to lead a conversation

-      Proven ownership of client-facing delivery for US or European clients: you have run the call, not just prepared the deck

-      Demonstrated ability to make a technical decision under ambiguity and stand behind it

-      Strong written & verbal English; you can write a clarification email that gets answered

-      Comfort working without a large bench, a pricing desk, or a brand that opens doors - this is a lean firm and you will be close to the work

Preferred

-      Depth in the Microsoft/Azure ecosystem (Fabric, Databricks, Unity Catalog) or equivalent AWS depth

-      Experience in consulting or professional services, especially at a mid-sized firm

-      Exposure to LLM/agentic solution delivery
