Role Description The Technical Sales Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for driving sales of chemical products and solutions through technical consultation and customer engagement. Day-to-day activities include identifying prospective clients, conducting site visits, presenting product features and technical benefits, and preparing quotations and proposals. The role involves providing basic technical support, coordinating with laboratory or technical teams for product trials, and ensuring timely resolution of customer queries. The Technical Sales Officer will maintain customer relationships, gather market and competitor insights, and update internal systems with sales activities and forecasts. This position requires close collaboration with operations and logistics teams to ensure accurate order processing and on-time delivery.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret technical data, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly and build trust with customers.
  • Candidates should possess Technical Support capabilities to assist customers with product selection, troubleshooting, and application guidance.
  • Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to manage inquiries, handle concerns professionally, and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Candidates should possess Laboratory Skills or familiarity with lab practices, chemical handling, and basic testing procedures.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
  • Prior experience in technical sales or sales within the chemical or industrial sector is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel locally, work on-site with customers in and around Surat, and use common office and CRM software efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills, goal orientation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
