About the Role

We are looking for experienced and detail-oriented Test Engineers / Senior Test Engineers with strong expertise in functional testing, QA governance, and defect management. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the Insurance domain; however, candidates from Banking domain with strong testing experience can also be considered.

The role involves validating complex business workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting end-to-end testing activities, and maintaining high-quality standards across applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis & Functional Understanding

• Analyse business requirements, BRDs, user stories, and regulatory documents.
• Understand end-to-end business workflows including:
• Employer registration
• Contribution calculation
• Eligibility validation
• Benefits processing
• Claims workflow
• Payment disbursement
• Identify gaps, ambiguities, and raise functional or regulatory clarifications with stakeholders.

Test Planning & Test Design

• Prepare test scenarios, test conditions, test cases, and test data aligned with QA governance standards.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, regulatory mandates, and test artifacts.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and effort tracking activities.
• Review and update test artifacts based on review comments and change requests.
• Maintain proper version control and documentation standards.

Test Execution & Defect Management

• Execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT support testing activities.
• Validate application behavior against business and compliance requirements.
• Log defects with detailed reproduction steps, screenshots, and impact analysis.
• Track complete defect lifecycle including retesting, re-raise, validation, and closure.
• Participate in defect triage discussions with business and technical teams.

QA Governance & Reporting

• Ensure adherence to QA standards, audit controls, compliance frameworks, and documentation processes.
• Support preparation of QA dashboards, governance reports, defect metrics, and status updates.
• Monitor quality KPIs such as:
• Defect leakage
• Test coverage
• Cycle time
• Compliance adherence
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives within the QA framework.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA Leads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Mentor junior testers and provide guidance on testing best practices (for senior-level candidates).
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and blockers effectively to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Strong experience in Functional Testing and Defect Management.
• Experience in Insurance domain preferred; Banking domain experience is also acceptable.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA processes, and governance standards.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, ALM, TestRail, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Arabic language proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in regulatory or compliance-driven projects.
• Exposure to integration and UAT testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Understanding of audit and governance reporting standards.
• Prior experience in Social Insurance or Financial Services projects is a plus.
