TM1 Business Analyst (FP&A / Financial Planning)

Job Summary

We are looking for a TM1 Business Analyst with experience in FP&A, financial planning, reporting, and IBM Planning Analytics (TM1). The candidate will work as a liaison between Finance teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements, improve processes, and deliver effective TM1-based planning and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements for FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting initiatives.
• Translate finance requirements into functional specifications for TM1 solutions.
• Work with TM1 developers to design, enhance, and validate planning models, reports, and workflows.
• Perform data analysis, reconciliation, testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support TM1 implementations, enhancements, and production issues.
• Create business documentation, process flows, and user guides.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and project teams using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Support financial reporting and process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Finance Systems / FP&A / EPM.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and finance processes.
• Experience gathering requirements and working with business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of TM1 cubes, dimensions, reporting, and data validation.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall project delivery.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Fusion Financials / ERP systems.
• Knowledge of General Ledger (GL), chart of accounts, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE).
• SQL and data integration knowledge is a plus.
