Tracxn - Engineering Manager - Internal Systems

About The Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager (but hands-on coder, not just managing people) who can build internal software applications, business systems, and automates business processes for our internal business teams using AI-assisted coding tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot.

Must-Have Skills

• 4 to 8 years of software engineering experience (minimum 4 years hands-on coding)
• A strong coder who can also talk to business teams, understand their pain points, and build solutions end-to-end. Lead a team of automation engineers.
• Someone who works independently and owns projects fully
• Preferred : degree from IIT, NIT, IIIT, BITS, or similar top-tier institute
• Skills : Software development, web app development, workflow/business process automation, system design, software architecture, and API/system integrations.
  
  

What You'd Actually Do

The job boils down to three things :

• Build internal apps - dashboards, approval workflows, task systems, self-service portals, and reporting tools for HR, Finance, and Operations.
• Automate manual work - find repetitive processes and replace them with software, using AI and automation tech.
  
  

Example projects: automating employee onboarding/offboarding, building finance approval workflows, creating HR reporting systems, building systems to automate sales reach, and eliminating repetitive manual tasks.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• AI-powered automation, experience with Claude/Copilot, cloud platforms, app security, and experience leading or mentoring small engineering teams.
