Role Description This is a full-time, on-site UK Travel Sales Consultant role based in Gurugram. The UK Travel Sales Consultant will handle inbound and outbound inquiries from customers in the UK market, recommending flight and hotel options that meet their needs and budget. The role involves preparing and issuing quotations, converting leads into confirmed bookings, and managing changes, cancellations, and reissues in coordination with airline and hotel partners. The consultant will use global distribution systems (GDS) and reservation tools to search fares, check availability, and issue tickets accurately. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, following company sales processes, providing post-booking support, and collaborating with colleagues to meet team sales and service targets. The role requires flexibility to work shifts aligned with UK business hours and a strong focus on customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings and achieve revenue targets.
  • Customer service and communication skills, including clear spoken and written English and a professional, empathetic approach on phone, email, and chat.
  • Experience in travel reservations, preferably with UK or international markets, and familiarity with airline fare rules and ticketing processes.
  • Comfort with reservation and CRM systems; prior use of GDS tools (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) is highly beneficial.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in handling itineraries and payments, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, including shifts that match UK time zones, and to collaborate effectively in a diverse, international team.
  • Previous experience in a travel agency, tour operator, or airline contact center is preferred; knowledge of UK geography and popular destinations is an advantage.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree or certification in travel, tourism, hospitality, or a related field is an added benefit.
