Role Description:
As a Vertical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic revenue growth within your assigned industry segment by managing and expanding key customer accounts while acquiring new business opportunities. The role focuses on developing and executing go-to-market strategies across ODM solutions, Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), box build programs, product engineering services, and strategic sourcing initiatives. You will build strong relationships with clients and manufacturing partners, identify white-label and customized product opportunities, and deliver scalable growth through a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Ownership :
- Own assigned customer accounts end-to-end.
- Build strong relationships across procurement, engineering, operations, quality, SCM, founders, and CXOs.
- Become trusted advisor to clients for electronics product development and manufacturing needs.
- Drive account growth through deeper penetration and repeat orders.
- Build annual and quarterly account growth plans.
Revenue Growth & Target Achievement:
- Deliver assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Drive profitable growth with healthy gross margins.
- Forecast revenue accurately and maintain closure visibility.
- Build balanced revenue mix across services, manufacturing, and recurring opportunities.
New Business Acquisition:
- Identify and pursue new logos across priority sectors such as EV, consumer electronics, fintech, industrial automation, smart devices, appliances, IoT, automotive, and OEM categories.
- Generate leads through outreach, references, industry networks, exhibitions, digital prospecting, and relationship channels.
- Convert first meetings into active opportunities.
Consultative Solution Selling:
- Understand customer requirements deeply: product concept, BOM pain points, sourcing issues, manufacturing challenges, cost pressures, speed-to-market expectations.
- Position Elecbits as a design-to-delivery strategic partner rather than only a vendor.
- Collaborate with pre-sales and product teams to shape the right solution.
Proposal to PO Conversion:
- Drive RFQ / RFP opportunities through full sales cycle.
- Coordinate techno-commercial proposals.
- Negotiate commercials, payment terms, timelines, and scope.
- Resolve objections and accelerate decision-making.
- Ensure smooth PO closure and handover to execution teams.
Internal Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work closely with pre-sales, sourcing, product management, operations, finance, and leadership teams.
- Ensure customer expectations are aligned internally.
- Support escalations with ownership mindset.
Collections & Commercial Hygiene:
- Ensure timely collections and payment follow-up.
- Maintain contract clarity and commercial discipline.
- Avoid leakage in scope, pricing, and credit terms.
CRM & Sales Governance:
- Maintain healthy pipeline visibility in CRM.
- Track opportunity stages and closure probabilities.
- Submit weekly reviews, monthly forecasts, and action plans.
- Maintain strong sales discipline and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Business, Marketing, or related field
- MBA preferred for senior roles
- 3–14 years of B2B sales experience depending on level of discussion.
- Strong experience in one or more sectors: ODM, EMS, electronics manufacturing, industrial products, OEM sales, product engineering, hardware solutions
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation ability
- Ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
- Strong presentation and proposal-selling capability
- High ownership, hunger, and execution mindset
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and business development activities
