Role Description This contract Video Editor role is a hybrid position based in Malappuram, with a mix of on-site work and the flexibility to work from home for certain tasks. The Video Editor will edit raw footage into polished videos for marketing, training, and social media, ensuring brand consistency and clear storytelling. Responsibilities include organizing and managing footage, selecting the best takes, adding transitions, titles, graphics, and basic sound design, and preparing videos in formats optimized for various platforms. The role will collaborate with content, marketing, and training teams to interpret briefs, propose creative concepts, and incorporate feedback efficiently. The Video Editor will also support basic pre-production planning (such as shot lists), maintain organized project files, and stay current with video trends and tools to enhance the quality and impact of delivered content.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including assembling raw footage and crafting clear, engaging narrative sequences.
• Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency, mood, and high-quality finishing across projects.
• Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create titles, lower thirds, overlays, and simple animated elements that support the story.
• Ability to work with common editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic audio cleanup tools.
• Good sense of timing, pacing, and visual storytelling, with attention to detail and continuity.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to receive and implement feedback in iterative review cycles.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects, assets, and deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
• Prior experience editing content for education, training, or digital marketing is a plus.
• Relevant certification, diploma, or degree in Film, Media, Communication, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if supported by a strong portfolio.
