About the Role

We are looking for a technically skilled and proactive Web Developer to join our India office in Bangalore.

The primary focus of this role will be to create, update, maintain, and improve WordPress websites for our international conferences, exhibitions, and corporate events.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building responsive and functional websites, managing website content, testing registrations and payment journeys, resolving technical issues, and ensuring all websites remain secure, accurate, and up to date.

The role will also include supporting selected day-to-day IT requirements within the office, such as laptop setup, software installation, email configuration, user access, and basic technical troubleshooting.

Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite Development
  • Create complete event and corporate websites using WordPress.
  • Build new pages and landing pages using approved designs, templates, themes, and brand guidelines.
  • Develop event sections for speakers, sponsors, agendas, exhibitors, registrations, downloads, and contact information.
  • Convert approved creative designs into functional and responsive web pages.
  • Ensure all websites display correctly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Use WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, or similar tools.
  • Install, configure, update, and manage WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Maintain consistent branding, typography, navigation, layout, and functionality across all websites.
  • Create and manage website forms for registrations, enquiries, sponsorship requests, brochure downloads, and contact submissions.
  • Integrate websites with CRM systems, registration platforms, payment gateways, and email marketing tools.
  • Set up automated email notifications for registrations, purchases, enquiries, and form submissions.
  • Upload and organise event brochures, programmes, reports, images, videos, and downloadable documents.
  • Support the development of exhibitor portals, login systems, online directories, and gated-content platforms where required.
  • Make urgent website updates during active event campaigns and live event periods.
Website Content Management
  • Update event dates, venues, logos, speakers, sponsors, agendas, brochures, registration links, and contact information.
  • Ensure all website content is accurate and consistent with approved event materials.
  • Review briefs carefully and identify missing, incorrect, or conflicting information before publishing.
  • Resize and optimise images for website use without affecting quality.
  • Maintain clear and organised website media libraries and page structures.
  • Coordinate with the marketing and design teams to ensure all website content is delivered and uploaded on time.
  • Maintain a tracker of pending updates, completed tasks, website issues, and launch requirements.
Website Testing and Maintenance
  • Perform regular website health checks.
  • Identify and correct broken links, outdated content, missing images, formatting issues, and functionality errors.
  • Test all forms, buttons, menus, downloads, registrations, automated emails, and payment processes before launch.
  • Monitor website speed, uptime, security, mobile responsiveness, and overall performance.
  • Troubleshoot WordPress errors, plugin conflicts, theme issues, and website-loading problems.
  • Maintain regular website backups and restore websites when required.
  • Apply WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates while ensuring functionality remains stable.
  • Manage hosting accounts, domains, subdomains, DNS records, SSL certificates, and business email connections.
  • Support website migrations between servers or hosting providers.
  • Implement basic website security, caching, optimisation, and spam-protection measures.
  • Ensure all websites remain secure, updated, and operational.
SEO and Analytics
  • Apply basic on-page SEO practices across all websites.
  • Update page titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, image alt text, and internal links.
  • Optimise images and page content to improve website speed and search visibility.
  • Set up and maintain Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and tracking pixels.
  • Support campaign tracking through UTM links and conversion tracking.
  • Assist with identifying technical issues that may affect website performance or search visibility.
IT Support
  • Set up laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and other office equipment for employees.
  • Create and configure employee email accounts, system profiles, software access, and shared folders.
  • Install and maintain Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, browsers, antivirus software, and other business applications.
  • Provide basic day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, email, internet, printers, and office systems.
  • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, network, VPN, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive issues.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including device allocation and removal of access.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of laptops, accessories, software licences, warranties, and IT assets.
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors, hosting providers, internet providers, and repair centres when required.
  • Support meeting-room screens, projectors, presentation systems, and video-conferencing tools.
  • Ensure company devices remain updated, secure, protected, and properly configured.
  • Provide remote technical support when required and coordinate shared IT requirements with the UAE office.
Team Coordination
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure websites accurately reflect approved event branding.
  • Coordinate with marketing managers to collect and upload event content.
  • Work with CRM, registration, finance, and operations teams to test online registration and payment processes.
  • Communicate clearly when briefs are incomplete or when content, access, or technical requirements are missing.
  • Manage multiple event websites simultaneously and prioritise work according to campaign and event deadlines.
  • Maintain organised website files, credentials, backups, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all website updates are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
Required Skills
  • Proven professional experience as a Web Developer.
  • Strong experience creating and managing websites using WordPress.
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, page builders, and website administration.
  • Experience using Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, or similar tools.
  • Good knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Basic understanding of JavaScript and PHP.
  • Experience building responsive websites for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Ability to create complete websites from approved designs, templates, or reference websites.
  • Experience managing hosting, domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, website backups, and migrations.
  • Good understanding of website forms, CRM integrations, automated emails, and payment gateways.
  • Ability to troubleshoot WordPress, plugin, theme, hosting, and performance issues.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, email configuration, and general office IT systems.
  • Experience setting up laptops, installing software, and resolving common technical issues.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when updating event names, dates, locations, speakers, sponsors, and registration links.
  • Ability to manage multiple websites and urgent update requests simultaneously.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with design, marketing, CRM, finance, and operations teams.
  • A diploma or degree in Web Development, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience working within the events, exhibitions, conferences, media, advertising, or marketing industry.
  • Experience managing multiple event websites at the same time.
  • Experience integrating WordPress websites with CRM and event registration systems.
  • Familiarity with payment gateways such as Telr, Stripe, PayPal, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with WooCommerce and online purchasing workflows.
  • Experience creating exhibitor portals, member login systems, directories, or gated-content websites.
  • Familiarity with website security, caching, optimisation, backup, and spam-protection tools.
  • Basic understanding of UI and UX principles.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator for preparing website assets.
  • Experience using cPanel, Plesk, Cloudflare, or similar hosting platforms.
  • Familiarity with advertising pixels and conversion tracking.
  • Experience supporting creative teams using Adobe software and high-performance computers.
  • Immediate availability or a short notice period is preferred.
