Responsibilities
- Follow standard structure of code.
- Maintain performance, reusable, and reliable code.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and improve.
- Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- WordPress Developer will stay up to date on industry standards and incorporate them appropriately
- Ability to work with minimal direction, yet able to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience of WordPress Multi-site and Page Builders (Gutenberg, WP Bakery/Visual Composer, Divi, Thrive etc.)
- Experience of plugin development
- High quality code and adherence to coding standards
- Monitoring the performance of the live website.
- Knowledge of payment integrations, maps, Subscriptions etc.
- Working closely with both the design and project resources to achieve the best possible results in web projects from conception right through to delivery.
