Role Description The Music Teacher at COFMA will design and deliver engaging music lessons, guiding students through individual and group classes across various levels. In this full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, the teacher will plan curricula, prepare lesson materials, and teach core concepts in music theory, performance, and technique. Daily responsibilities include assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching methods to different learning styles. The teacher will also prepare students for recitals, exams, and live performances, while fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Additional duties may include collaborating with other faculty, participating in academy events, and contributing ideas to enhance COFMA’s programs and student experience.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music concepts, with the ability to teach fundamentals and advanced topics clearly.
• Demonstrated Music Performance skills, with confidence in performing and modeling technique for students.
• Experience in Music Education, including lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment of student progress.
• Proficiency in Piano, with the ability to use the instrument for instruction, accompaniment, and ear-training activities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a learner-centered, inclusive, and patient teaching approach.
• Bachelor’s degree or formal training in Music, Music Education, or a related field preferred; relevant teaching certifications are a plus.
• Experience teaching diverse age groups and skill levels, ideally in a music school or academy setting.
• Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate with colleagues, and support academy events, workshops, and performances.
