Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Music Teacher role based in West Bengal, India. The Music Teacher will plan and deliver engaging music lessons, focusing on instrument skills (with an emphasis on piano where applicable), music theory, and overall musical development for students of varying ages and abilities. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting individual and group classes, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to learners and families. The teacher will organize practice routines, support students in exam or performance preparation, and help coordinate recitals or internal performances. The role also includes maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment, collaborating with academy staff on curriculum improvements, and supporting administrative tasks related to scheduling and student records as needed.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music knowledge to teach core concepts clearly and accurately.
• Proficiency in Music Performance and Piano, with the ability to demonstrate techniques and guide students through graded pieces and repertoire.
• Background in Music Education, including experience designing lessons, assessing learning outcomes, and adapting teaching methods to different learning styles.
• Prior teaching or coaching experience in a music school, academy, or private instruction setting is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with children, teens, and adults in a respectful, inclusive, and patient manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and constructive feedback.
• Diploma, degree, or formal certification in Music, Music Education, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to work on-site full time in West Bengal, India, and to participate in performances, recitals, and academy events.
