Job Summary
As our People & Culture Associate, you will be the heartbeat of the studio. You will manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, ensuring that our remote team feels connected, heard, and empowered. You will move beyond basic administration to help us build a world-class creative environment thta enables our people to thrive
Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition & Experience
- Creative Sourcing: Go beyond LinkedIn; find talent in creative communities (Behance, Dribbble, Instagram).
- Candidate Empathy: Manage the full recruitment funnel, ensuring every candidate (hired or not) has a transparent and respectful experience
- Onboarding 2.0: Lead a remote onboarding journey that makes new joiners feel like a part of the "Poppy farm" from Day 1 (Mooooo!)
2. Performance & Growth (Competency-Based)
- Performance Enablement: Assist in plotting and tracking competencies for our creative roles.
- Feedback Culture: Facilitate regular check-ins, wellbeing calls and ensure constructive criticism is handled with the empathy our culture demands
- Training Coordination: Identify skill gaps in the team and organize "Inspiration Sessions" or technical workshops
- Learning & Development: Identify L&D needs within the teams, design learning journeys and implement the L&D strategy keeping in mind the budgets allocated
3. Remote Culture & Engagement
- Community Building: Lead our remote engagement strategy, from team rituals to virtual "Jam Sessions."
- Recognition Programs: Execute the studio’s reward and recognition initiatives, ensuring high-performers feel seen and valued
- Tone of Voice: Ensure all internal communication is warm, transparent, and aligned with our studio’s vibe
4. HR Operations & Compliance
- Digital HR: Maintain our HRIS/employee databases with accuracy
- Policy Innovation: Help refine HR policies to be people-first while ensuring compliance with Indian Labor Laws
- Documentation: Manage payroll inputs, leave tracking, and compliance filings
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 2–5 years in HR/People Operations, preferably within a startup
- Mindset: You view P&C as a creative, compassionate people first endeavour. You are empathetic, highly organized, and a proactive people person
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English skills, hindi and other regional languages a plus. Empathy pro-max! Empathy is a non-negotiable for us. You can deliver tough news with grace and celebrate wins with genuine excitement
- Tech Stack: Proficient in Google Workspace
